Working with a diverse group of nonprofit leaders, organizations, and experts, the Bright Lines Project has developed a document of shared principles which briefly outline our reactions to and hopes for the IRS rule-making process. These principles should be used as a starting point for discussion in anticipation of a new rule release, and can inform media responses, legislative outreach, and internal communications between organizations.

We recognize the importance of this topic to all nonprofit actors, and we hope that these principles will be agreeable to groups across the political spectrum. We are looking for organizations to sign on to these shared principles, which can be done through the form below.
